Points for Puppets is an annual tennis tournament. This two-day Fall event draws a crowd of approximately 200 tennis players from all over the Commonwealth!

Shamrock Sprint, presented by German American Bank, is a Saint Patrick’s Day themed free kids run to welcome spring. The event features three races for children 14 and under. Children will run down the blocked-off streets of downtown Franklin. Sponsorships from the event support Kids on the Block programs in Simpson County.

Dash for Sheldon is a free kids run sponsored by Workout Anytime Glasgow, held in Glasgow, Kentucky. Named in memory of the title sponsor’s brother Sheldon, this free kids run draws over 100 children ages 14 and under to Beaver Creek Park. Sponsorships go toward presenting programs in Barren and Hart Counties. This event is FREE.

Garden and Lawn Tour Presented by Jersey Mike’s is the most longtime fundraiser supporting educational puppet programs in Kentucky. Attendees go on a self guided tour of seven to eight local home and business gardens. A lunch provided by Jersey Mike’s takes place at a tea site in the afternoon.

Scotty’s Pound the Pavement is an annual kids run kicking off the start of the new school year. The event features three races for children 14 and under. Held at Kereiakes Park in the heart of Bowling Green, over 400 children each receive a finishers medal and compete for awards at the end.

Blowout Company and Plum Springs Garage Presents Jamie’s Shot is an annual golf scramble held in memory of Kids on the Block Co-founder Jamie Gaddie Higgins. Attracting over 130 golfers each Fall, the event features breakfast from McDonald’s & lunch by Cotton BBQ. Hole contests sponsored by local businesses.
